The Gauntlet Club Championship is right around the corner so make plans now! Mark your calendars now for September 18 and 19, 2010. There are 6 divisions and you must declare which one that you want to register for at the time of registration. Right now you can register at the Gauntlet Pro Shop in person or over the phone (540-752-0963) and soon, we'll have the link up on this site to register and pre-pay directly from our site. Click the link below to go to the Club Championship Flyer for all the details.
We've had one event so far for the GTP Cup and Ringer and had an AWESOME turnout. Thanks for all of you who played in the Member-Member Tournament and registered for the Cup and Ringer. We'll soon be posting the results for both of those events so hang in there. The second Cup/Ringer event will be the Blind 9 Sit-N-Go which will be held both on Wednesday 6/9 and Saturday 6/12. Remember, you can play in both of these events but can only post one toward the Cup and Ringer. If we don't hear from the Wednesday players that they plan to play and post on Saturday, the Wednesday rounds will count toward their Cup and Ringer stats.
If you didn't register (or play) in the Member-Member, you can still sign up for the GTP Cup and Ringer between now and the Member Guest Tournament on July 17 and 18th. The next event for the Cup and Ringer will be Wednesday 6/9 and/or Saturday 6/12 at the Blind 9 Sit-N-Gos. It'll cost you $10 to enter the GTP Cup and $10 for the Ringer so bring some cash!
Any questions, please contact Tony Taylor or Dave Clements (see GGCA Contacts Page).
Go to the Documents Page to view the Flyers and Guideline documents for the GTP Cup and Ringer.
As you know, we've been using a page on this site to allow GGCA members to pre-register for both Major Tournaments (with an option to pay online) and for Sit-N-Go Events. Some have been using this, most have not. This is a VERY important feature as it allows the Gauntlet staff to better plan for how many folks are coming out to the tournaments and events as well as to better plan how much food to prepare and plan for. In addition, this process allows all of the GGCA Officers and Board Members, who volunteer their time by the way, to prepare handicaps prior to the event versus being suprised by drop-in entrants the day of the event and having to hustle at the last minute to make arrangements to accomodate everyone.
We want to make sure that we provide a positive golfing experience for all of our GGCA members and friends. Some changes are in the works regarding the Online Pre-Registration and Registration process so please understand that while these changes may require you to approach your sign-up process differently, these changes and requirements will help us all better prepare and plan for events to provide the best possible tournament experience for all GGCA Members.
In the meantime, I would ask that if you plan to play in an event, please get used to Pre-Registering online and if you have any difficulties, please contact me directly and I will do everything I can to help resolve your issues.
You can contact me (Tony Taylor) by cell phone at (540) 538-6085 or by email at taylor.anthonyb@gmail.com.
